Today we're talking winter-themed skincare I can't be without, all of which you can shop at Liberty London. I always stop for a browse when I'm in central London but I love that their curated selection of beauty brands is also available to buy online too, given I live in Birmingham. These are the products and brands I recommend taking a look at...
Ceramides are the main component of our skin's lipid barrier, helping to keep the skin strong, healthy, calm and hydrated. However, many moisturisers containing ceramides are rich and heavy. I'm not complaining, with my dry skin! But it's often overlooked that people with oily and combination skin types can still have an impaired barrier function and can really benefit from topical ceramides. Today I'm walking you through three formulas that give you those amazing benefits without smothering the skin or leaving behind a greasy excess...

As commonly comes up in conversation within my friendship group: we're pushing 30. And this means that over the past year, I've paid more attention to well-ageing. Of course it's never too late to do something good for your skin, but as we begin to notice those first fine lines: it's a great idea to start taking steps within your routine to soften signs of ageing as they start to set in. I've always hated the terms 'anti-ageing' or 'wrinkle prevention'! They sound so negative, and ultimately: we're going to age, there's no fighting against it, because it's going to win. Plus there's a lot more that happens to our skin beyond 'wrinkles' as we age, and all of that is stuff we want to help replenish where we can. So, this guide will walk you through skin changes over the years and the sorts of products and ingredients that help soften that process, in order of effectiveness!
Today, I just fancied a bit of a chit-chatty post on the products I'm using and enjoying at the moment - there's no particular rhyme or reason or a step-by-step routine, this is just a snapshot of the new and the noteworthy, plus some existing staples I've circled back to!

It's a blogger's prerogative to change their mind... Today we're talking the evolution of Summer Fridays and how they've elevated themselves far above the typical 'all pretty packaging, no impressive formulas' brand I had originally assumed they were going to be. It seems like they've really listened to customer feedback when it comes to their products, and that's great. Let's dive into Summer Fridays, their products and how they've developed over time!

Today we're talking Paula's Choice, the brand founded by beauty writer Paula Begoun, based on her own skincare philosophy. Do I agree with absolutely everything she says? No, but that's ok: I trust her line to focus on active ingredients proven by science and to minimise potential irritation. The brand is no longer owned by Paula, but so far it seems the products are still in line with most of her beliefs. As long as my favourite formulas don't change; I'm fine with it. Speaking of which, let's get into them!

Today, I wanted to talk acids! Glycolic acid is the most famous chemical exfoliant and I'd venture to say that a few years back, about 2/3rds of the non-manual exfoliants on the market were glycolic acid-based. However, there's a lot more choice these days so today I'm talking through why I don't use glycolic acid that much in my routine any more and what I've found that I prefer...

As we head into the colder months, I thought it was the perfect time to share my review of Curel, a fragrance-free Japanese brand focused on dry and sensitive skin (now available at Boots). They build their formulas around supporting the skin's lipid barrier. As someone whose barrier doesn't respond well to cold and wind; I've been reaching for products from Curel a lot and I know they're going to see me through winter when it hits. Here's why I love these products...
