I talk about my everyday makeup picks all the time but rarely feature what I wear on nights out or for evening occasions. Today we’re changing that! These are my current favourite products for more of a glam makeup look.
In terms of base, I like full coverage that’s long-wearing but that won’t look too drying or matte. TheBecca Backlight Priming Filter|£32 | is an amazing base for this, because used under makeup, it gives a soft, pearly radiance. I next go in with theNars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation(Barcelona) | £35 | using a slightly dampBeautyBlender* |£17。这是一个完全覆盖的基础nothing too heavy and doesn’t mask the skin. It’s really pigmented, so you only need two pumps – it doesn’t look like a lot of product but once applied, trust me: it’s plenty! It gives a satin finish that’s slightly more glowing when paired with the Becca primer but still isn’t anything too dewy. It gives a flawless finish that lasts incredibly well.

It has an unusual amber tone with a silvery shift and you only need a drop or two to get a blinding highlight. I tend to be more of a bronzer girl than a contour fan, so I like to use myAnastasia Beverly Hills Powder Bronzed in Saddle* | £29. This has such a lovely, smooth formula that's easy to blend out and has colour payoff without being toopigmented to work with. It has a matte finish and the colour is warm without being at all orange, so adds definition and dimension. I use the 'figure of 3' method of application, focusing on the cheekbones. Next, it's time for a bit of blusher - I tend to focus on either the eyes or the lips so I usually keep it reasonably low-key for cheeks. I often go for theBecca Mineral Blush in Songbird|£26 | because it works with my usual warm-toned makeup looks. This is a pigmented formula but a subtle colour. It has this beautiful golden sheen running through it and the base colour is a warm peachy tone. It applies evenly and lasts so well on my skin.
眼影是我最喜欢的晚上化妆的部分之一！当我匆匆忙忙时，我会去找我的东西Touch in Sol Metallist Liquid Foil & Glitter Duo in Eldora* | £20 | and when I have a little more time, I create a look using myHuda Beauty Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette|£56 |review & full swatches. The Metallist is a gorgeous liquid-cream eyeshadow duo - one end is a pearly cream shimmer eyeshadow in a soft antique gold and the other is a gorgeous warm, vibrant gold foiled glitter. I personally like to apply the cream and then blend the glitter on top for maximum impact. It's so long-lasting and creates a gorgeous look with minimal effort. The Desert Dusk is a stunning warm-toned palette with oranges, reds and purples. The pigmentation is insane but I still find the shadows easy to work with. A usual look I'd go for is the pinky-red shimmer Blood Moon all over the lid, the peachy matte Eden as a transition, the matte reddish-orange Amber in the crease and the deep purple shimmer Royal on the outer part of the lid. The only downside of this palette is that there's not really a stark highlighting shade for my skin tone, so I just put a bit of Champagne Pop in my inner corner.
To finish off the eyes, I use liner, mascara and a brow product. I use theStila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Stingray|£14.50 | as a matte black crayon to tight-line. This is a formula that won't transfer or smudge on the eyes and it just ensures your winged liner looks totally solid and your lashes have a subtle extra bit of fullness. Next I apply my belovedStila保持全天防水液体眼线笔|£14.50. I bang on about this all the time but it really is the best eyeliner I've ever tried! The tip is precise and the formula very pigmented, but it doesn't bleed at all. It doesn't fade or smudge and my winged liner still looks perfect even at the end of a long night. I smoke out the lower lash line with myCharlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in Amber Haze|£19. It's a warm golden-bronze eye crayon with a soft metallic sheen that doesn't smudge or move around. Next it's time for myMaybelline Lash Sensational Mascara|£8.99 | which lengthens, voluminises, curls and separates my lashes. It doesn't flake or smudge and gives my lashes that 'wow' factor! I rarely go in for falsies but if I do it's theEylure Fleur Loves Lashes|£5.45 | as they're pretty, natural 3/4 length strips that add something to the look without feeling like too much. I tend to reach for myAnastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Granite|£19 | before nights out because it's bold and long-lasting. I apply this with a small angled brush for a more natural look.

Love these products! Those Eldora products look so cool, I’ll have to try them! My favorite night products are gel eyeliner (Estee Lauder) and the Charlotte Tilbury bronzer and glow. I just got it and it’s great! xAllie

The Nars Longwear foundation is one of the best that I have tried recently. It leaves my skin looking healthy and fresh even after 8 hours which is a remarkable feat.

Reply删除For what I know, it was because back in the day when Lolita became super popular, they had a problem with a batch that got a different shade from what it was suppose to be. Eventually they fixed the problem but realised that many fell in love with the new shade and relaunched it as Lolita II.
Reply删除Personally, I only though they were too similar because sadly the Sephora I went to had no natural lighting and it was so funky that they seemed to be the same. (which made me realise I have to be super careful now, specially if I decide to go and buy something like a foundation...)
