Let's take a closer look at the products I've been using and whether I think they're worth the hype...

- BRAND BACKGROUND -

Sunday Riley launched her skincare brand 10 years ago, and she isn't only the founder but she formulates the products too. As we all know, this is definitely high-end skincare and the products are focussed on fast results and anti-ageing. I think the Luna oil (which we'll get into later!) is what really put this brand on the shelves of every Instagram skincare junkie. Most of her range features an active ingredient that's going to pack a punch within your skincare routine.

Luna Sleeping Night Oil* |£45 (15ml) | This is the product I was most excited to try! It was on my list anyway for when I finished off some oils I already have. This is a blue-toned retinol oil treatment that also contains blue tansy, avocado, chia and grape seed. I really like the texture of this oil - it absorbs nicely without leaving a greasy excess on my skin. If you aren't familiar with this active - retinol is one of the few proven anti-ageing ingredients you can apply topically and see amazing results from, as well as being great for acne-prone skin. The results I saw with this product were pretty impressive, right from the off! It's really helped to smooth my skin and improve its overall quality and texture. It's hydrating and has helped reduce some of the redness I've noticed in my skin this winter. It just gives my skin that glow and that 'extra something' that makes me think 'wow, I'm having a great skin day' the following morning when I'm putting on my makeup. I'm really hoping that over continued use this might help the appearance of some of the fine lines I notice on my face.

It's a gorgeous cream-based serum that's actually incredibly hydrating, along with chemically exfoliating the skin with glycolic acid. I don't get any sort of sensation using this product, though you可能if you've never used an acid exfoliator before. As well as softening, smoothing and hydrating my skin, this just gives my complexion a healthy, glowing appearance. It's great for tired, lacklustre skin that's in need of a bit of an overhaul. It is pricey but it's a product that I saw instant results with, which is what I want if I'm going to invest in something! Over time, glycolic acid can also fade scars and even out the tone of your skin, so I'm hoping to see some of those effects when I've used this over a longer period of time.
